We believe in fair and transparent practices that respect both our clients and our business sustainability.
This policy applies to all payments made to Martoo Tech Works, including:
- Academy Courses: Single course purchases and subscription plans
- Professional Services: GIS mapping, STATA analysis, research support, academic services
- Software Downloads: Password-protected software packages
- Consulting Services: One-on-one consultations and training sessions

Refund Eligibility
Refund eligibility varies depending on the type of product or service purchased. The table below summarizes our refund policy for each category:

Important Note
All refund requests must be submitted within the specified timeframes. Requests submitted after the refund period will not be eligible for a refund.
Academy Courses
Single Course Purchases
You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not completed more than 30% of the course content. Refunds after 7 days or after completing more than 30% of the course are not available.
Monthly Subscriptions
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Refunds for the current billing period are provided on a prorated basis for unused time. To receive a prorated refund, you must cancel within 14 days of your billing date.
Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions may be refunded on a prorated basis for the unused portion of the subscription year, minus a 15% administrative fee. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase date.
Free Courses
Free courses are not eligible for refunds as no payment was collected. Access to free courses may be revoked at any time at our discretion.
Professional Services
Our professional services include GIS mapping, STATA data analysis, research proposal writing, academic support, and consulting. Refund eligibility depends on the stage of the project:
100% Refund
If you cancel before any work has commenced on your project, you are eligible for a full 100% refund of any amounts paid.
Partial Refund
If you cancel while work is in progress, you will receive a refund for the portion of work not yet completed, minus a 15% administrative fee. You will receive all work completed up to the cancellation date.
No Refund
Once a project has been completed and delivered to you, no refunds are available. However, we offer 14 days of free revisions to ensure your satisfaction with the delivered work.
Satisfaction Guarantee
For all completed service projects, we provide up to 14 days of free revisions. If you are unsatisfied with the delivered work, please contact us immediately to discuss revisions. We are committed to delivering work that meets your requirements.
Software Downloads
Password-Protected Software
Software downloads, including SPSS 16, STATA 14, and QGIS, are provided as password-protected files. Due to the digital nature of these products and the immediate access upon download, all software download sales are final and non-refundable.
Exception: Technical Issues
If you experience technical issues that prevent you from installing or using the downloaded software, please contact our support team. We will work with you to resolve the issue. If we are unable to resolve the issue within 7 days, a full refund will be issued.
Subscriptions
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Prorated Refunds
Prorated refunds for unused portions of subscriptions are available under the following conditions:
- Monthly subscriptions: Refund requests within 14 days of billing date
- Annual subscriptions: Refund requests within 30 days of purchase date
- All prorated refunds are calculated based on the number of unused days remaining in the billing period
Failed Payments
If a subscription payment fails, we will attempt to process the payment up to 3 times over 5 days. If all attempts fail, your subscription will be suspended. No refunds are issued for failed payments that are later successfully processed.

- Provide Information: Include your full name, email address used for purchase, date of purchase, amount paid, and reason for refund request
- Attach Receipt: If available, attach a copy of your payment receipt or transaction confirmation

Processing Timeline
Once your refund request is received and approved, refunds are processed according to the following timeline:
- Acknowledgment: Within 24 hours of receiving your request
- Review Period: 2-3 business days to verify eligibility and process the request
- Payment Processing: 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account (varies by payment method and financial institution)
Total estimated time: 7-14 business days from request submission to refund receipt.
Expedited Processing
For verified duplicate payments and clear billing errors, we prioritize processing within 48 hours.
Non-Refundable Items
The following items are strictly non-refundable:
- Software Downloads: All password-protected software files (SPSS, STATA, QGIS)
- Completed Service Projects: Projects that have been delivered and accepted by the client
- Free Courses: No payment was collected, therefore no refund is applicable
- Donations: Any voluntary payments or contributions made to Martoo Tech Works
- Third-Party Fees: Payment processing fees charged by banks or payment providers (these are non-recoverable)
Duplicate Payments
If you accidentally make a duplicate payment, we will issue a full refund for the duplicate transaction(s). Please contact us with the following information:
- Your name and email address
- Date and amount of the duplicate payment
- Transaction IDs for both payments (if available)
Duplicate payment refunds are processed within 48 hours of verification and do not incur any administrative fees.
Cancellations
Course Cancellations
You may cancel your enrollment in a paid course within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, provided you have not completed more than 30% of the course content.
Subscription Cancellations
Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your account dashboard. Cancelled subscriptions remain active until the end of the current billing period. No further payments will be charged after cancellation.
Service Cancellations
To cancel a professional service project, please contact us immediately. Refunds will be processed according to the timeline outlined in the Professional Services section.
Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact us immediately before filing a dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving all billing issues directly and promptly.
Frivolous Disputes
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in permanent suspension of your account and access to all purchased services and courses. We are reasonable people – please talk to us first.
